We know how time consuming and tough making submissions to publishers can be, that's why at Hobeck we acknowledge all submissions within two weeks of receipt and respond fully within four working weeks. We'll reply with a short critique even if we feel your book isn't for us, should you wish to receive one. We would like to maintain relationships with budding authors on their writing journey even if we feel they aren't quite ready for publication.

• We offer hands-on editorial support. Every book will go through a thorough and professional editorial process both internally and externally. We feel passionate about books. We are both voracious readers ourselves. We believe that every book is different and we work closely with each of our authors to shape their work so that it can reach its full potential.
   

• We believe that cover design is of paramount importance to the success of a book so we will work with you to make sure your book stands out from the crowd.
   

• We provide a carefully curated marketing and publicity campaign for each book we publish and through that we offer website and social media support for our authors.
   

• Publishing is a collaborative process and we believe in offering a fairer financial deal to our authors than traditional publishers offer. 
   

• We also believe that writing is a career and not a hobby and we will be with you as you grow as a writer.
   

• We accept commissions from first-time writers, established writers alike and writers from any background. All we ask is that you have something interesting to say about the world as you see it.

 

During periods when we are open to submissions, if you are interested in publishing with us, please send in Word (not PDF) a one-page synopsis, either the first three chapters or first 5,000 words of your novel and a brief cover letter to: hobeckbooks@gmail.com.
