George Zammit is a Maltese policeman who finds himself at the centre of events in the Southern Mediterranean. Be it money laundering, oil smuggling, the Libyan migrant crisis, Turkish neo-Ottamanisim, the eruption of Mount Etna, ISIL power struggles, George finds himself being reluctantly dragged into the action.

The series stars a colourful cast of corrupt policemen, stylish organised crime families, Libyan militia leaders, computer hackers, government agents, Islamic terrorists, Russian mercenaries and George’s long-suffering family.

While George is no all-action hero, he somehow always seems to rise to the occasion when it is required. He is an everyman, a victim of events beyond his control and capable of heroic deeds, despite himself.
